111 Esoteric Lane, Cosmic Universe

Last night I watched a recording of Derren Brown, Mind Control, which you may or may not have seen on the SciFi Channel. His mystical control over people’s minds is fascinating, intriguing... as I watch this, which I did off and on in the night, I have a feeling that there is something very familiar in what I’m watching. I am asked to remember something buried in memory. He is, I believe, reminding us to wake up from the dream, this dream we commonly refer to as reality.

Immediately, it so happened, I read the following synchronous quote in my meditation....

“The ideas of Spirit eternally propel themselves into expression. As mentally aware beings, we can choose to see beyond our present circumstances. If we want to expand our idea of life, we must expand our thinking. What is a mystic, after all, but someone who not only has had a close encounter with the Creator, but has actually realized being the Creator itself?”
Celeste Frazier

And, I would add, thereby manifesting one’s life according to one’s greatest joy, while fulfilling one’s highest purpose.

I suspect individuals like Derren Brown, David Blaine, (what do the initials “D.B." have to do with it?) Houdini, Gary Reynard author of The Disappearance of the Universe, East Indian Swamis, and Buddhist Gurus, etc., are all awakening from the dream.

Awakening from the dream is fine. But while in the dream, why not have the most amazing, wonderful, fulfilling and enlightening dream imaginable?

Therefore, be conscious! Then imagine the possibilities.

“.... Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world....

... Imagine all the people
Living life in peace....

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one”
John Lennon

“Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily,
Life is but a dream....”

Sweet Dreams!

Choose Happiness!

In the meditation I read this morning the author said, “Your odds for success are greatly enhanced if you speak the “language” of those with whom you are dealing.

“So, if you want to manifest in the universe, you have to speak in the same language as Spirit. When the Creator said “let there be Light," there was Light!”

The author goes on to say that as we are made in the spiritual likeness of the Creator, what we speak becomes manifest.

Of course, this is the stuff of the movie The Secret. If we say, “I’m miserable,” we tend not only to remain miserable, but to bring more misery to us.

If we say, as Wayne Dyer so wisely, but simply suggests, “I choose to be Happy,” we call to us happiness.

It’s impossible to hold a miserable though and a happy thought at the same time. Our emotional “body” will pick one.

So, choose happiness!

It's 6:15 A.M., September 5, 2007, in the forest, in Washington state. I've finally decided to plunge into "blogging" like one-hundred-million other folks have done, and post my usually private morning musings for the world to see.

Is this not the strangest thought?

All my life I've been a writer, having written my first poem when I was 4 years old, which I dictated to my teen-aged uncle to write down because I didn't yet know how to spell all the words... having spent a lifetime of submitting my work to publishers, getting acceptances, getting rejections, struggling to get read. And now - in a virtual blink of the eye - the world has changed so that one's unedited, perhaps entirely "un-ready" words are instantaneously "published" for the world to see!

Right now, the faintest edge of light is creeping about the horizon and through the trees of the forest. I'm listening to one lone Blue Jay, making his scratchy, raucous sound in the trees, all by himself. I don't know what makes him so excited, but not a single other bird is making a peep yet. It's too light for the owls, too dark for the song birds.

I've turned on the black and white camera of my surveillance system, which I occasionally like to do as dawn creeps in. This camera is infrared, and as the early morning light glides about the leaves, they become a glowing white. Even before the day arrives, and if I stepped out, it would still appear almost dark, from here I see a fairyland of white-glowing trees and bushes and grass.

This is the way I like to look at life... that even when it seems like it's dark, everywhere the light is glowing, all we need do is be conscious of the light. Look for the LIGHT. Light is the source of Life, Life is the source of Joy, Joy makes Life worth living.

Well, the Blue Jay is now apparently napping, and a few song birds are making sleepy little chirps. It's time to move forward with my day, filled with gratitude. Thank you for this day!

And thank YOU, dear reader, for dropping by.
